James P. End

James P. End is a partner of the firm and concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, employment law, worker’s compensation and civil rights.

He graduated with honors from Marquette University Law School in 2001.  While in law school, he served on the editorial board of the Marquette Law Review. and was honored with publication of his student comment, The Open and Obvious Danger Doctrine: Where Does It Belong In Our Comparative Negligence Regime?, 84 Marq. L. Rev. 445 (2000).

Mr. End has worked with First, Albrecht & Blondis, s.c., since 2001.  He has litigated cases and obtained favorable jury verdicts in both state and federal court.  He has handled matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Equal Rights Division (ERD), Worker’s Compensation Division, Unemployment Insurance Division and the Social Security Administration.  He is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin and before the U.S. district courts for the western and eastern districts of Wisconsin. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Association for Justice, and the Wisconsin Employment Lawyers Association.

Representative Cases:

Estate of Kendal Leonard v. Racine County et al, 09-C-0699 (E.D. Wis. 2012) (won $1 million dollar jury verdict in an Eighth Amendment inmate death case under 42 U.S.C. § 1983).  

Van Oss v. Sterling Aviation, LLC, 09-C-1069 (E.D. Wis. 2011) (won unanimous jury verdict on behalf of terminated pilot).

Nelson v. Novich Welter, Case No. 04-CV-001361, (Milwaukee County, April 2009) (won medical malpractice jury verdict on behalf of one of the two successful plaintiffs).

Bombaci v. Journal Community Publishing Corp., 482 F. 3d 979 (7th Cir. 2007) (sexual harassment in the workplace).

N.B. v. Wausau School District Bd. of Educ., 475 F. Supp. 2d 800 (W.D. Wis. 2007) (sexual assault of minor by public school employee).

R.S. v. Bd. of Sch. Dir., 2006 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 24240 (E.D. Wis. 2006) (sexual assault of eight minors by public school teacher).

In his spare time, Mr. End enjoys coaching his children’s youth soccer teams.
